The Ichabods faced off with the Emporia Hornets this weekend. Starting off with a win on Friday 10-9.  We started the game off strong but lost momentum around the 4th inning, luckily gaining it back in the last few innings we pulled out the win with a hit by senior Matt Jackson! Saturday's double header at Emporia's field could easily be considered a beat down. Pulling out the first win with a score of 10-1 and a second of 5-1. We had some fantastic pitching and our hitting was spot on. Sunday's game ended in an unfortunate loss, due to lack of focus and some struggles with pitching. It didn't clearly look like our team was all there. Plus, having the opposing team cheer louder at all times was getting to everyone. We lost with a score of 5-2, although it was nice to win the majority of these games, there was still no clean sweep for the Ichabods this weekend. This weekend showed everyone what kind of talent the Ichabods truly have and what they can do when they are on the top of their game.
